Moore's Ford lynching GBI investigative File
p. 436
This crude sketch is the map that Clinton Adams drew for GBI agents in his July 2000 interview to describe what he saw. He drew an arrow to the place where he saw a Georgia State Patrol car on the bridge. Two lines at the edge of a cotton patch seem to denote where he says he and his boyhood friend Emerson Farmer lay on their stomachs as they witnessed the lynching. He has said the boys initially thought the couples were going to get a whipping and they came to watch. He and Farmer were stunned when the mob suddenly unloaded a volley of gunfire at the couples.
